PURPOSE...

Helping people learn to help themselves

CONNECTIONS managed over  3,400
calls for information and assistance in 2023.   Of the  1,072 household members, 66% received over $56,600 in assistance for basic needs.

CONNECTIONS links people and service providers throughout the county by maintaining a database of information on available community resources and providing contact information for a broad range of services.  Numerous service providers (Salvation Army, Feed My Sheep, St. Vincent and Trustees) as well as area churches refer calls for assistance to CONNECTIONS.  CONNECTIONS in turn completes an application with the caller to identify the need for assistance then verifies the information and contacts resources that may be able to help the family.  CONNECTIONS maintains a database of all calls and applications which helps identify the number of times the person has requested and received assistance.

VALUE...

As churches and service providers refer calls to

CONNECTIONS, a valuable database of information develops which helps identify services many individuals may be unaware exists.

Channeling calls through CONNECTIONS minimizes the duplication of services, misuse of the system and exploitation of the limited community resources.

OUR VISION...

Supporting people by becoming

a place to begin when help is needed.

CONNECTIONS links people and service providers throughout the county  to resources to meet their needs by maintaining a database of information on available community resources and providing contact information for a broad range of services.
